About Louise Marler
Louise Anne Marler (LA) transforms nostalgic analog media into original pop art.
Naturally with her family roots in a typewriter business, her authentic photo-based work blends Americana, vintage machinery, and mid-century technology into a bold visual language.
Building on a successful career in graphic design and printmaking, she is a digital artist who forged a distinctive visual style.
Currently she is splitting her time between Joshua Tree, California, and her hometown of St. Louis—where she founded The TypOsphere, a typewriter museum and art gallery.
LA Marler’s artwork has earned national recognition through exhibitions in Los Angeles, SoCal, New York and Miami.
Her work has been included by many private collections as well as Rancho Mirage Library and Tom Hanks, selected by the Smithsonian Museum of American History, featured by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and Goldenvoice, and highlighted by NBCLX.
LA Marler appears in the documentary film, "The Typewriter in the 21st Century" and television favorites including Two and a Half Men, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Mentalist, Criminal Minds, Jane the Virgin, Dear White People, Arrested Development, and A Black Lady Sketch Show.
